Why Faithfully Ever After?

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me - the task of testifying to the good news of God's grace.  -Acts 20:24

When I decided to redesign my blog, I knew I wanted to change the blog name.  I wanted a blog name that would be a better representation of me.  I contemplated a few different names, but ended up deciding on Faithfully Ever After.  It's not a phrase that is original to me.  I heard it when listening to an Empowered to Connect video and it has stuck with me several years later.

For me, this life isn't about having a happily ever after ending.  Because if it was about happily ever after, that means it would be about me.  God's given me this one life.  I've got one chance to make the most of it.  And I don't want it to be about me.  I want to step aside and make it all about Him.  I want to take my resources, my talents, my everything and invest it into making His name known.

He's blessed me with an amazing husband, a sweet baby girl, and an incredible job doing something I am so passionate about.  It's my prayer that I will be faithful with it all and that my messy, imperfect life will always reflect His grace!
