Father's Day CAC Discount

As Father's Day approaches, I can't help but think of how the Lord is bringing families together everyday through adoption.
I am so grateful to get to be a small part of building families through adoption, to see children placed with their forever moms and forever dads. At Christian Adoption Consultants, we are inspired by the message in the New Testament that states we are adopted into God's family as believers.  That we are his children, and he is our Abba Father.

God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who He is, and we know who we are: Father and children. Romans 8:15 (MSG)

In honor of all of our CAC dads, we are offering one of our rare specials to help make the cost of adoption a bit more attainable. We are happy to be sharing 10% off all of our top packages, from June 13-17th.  (Special note: this does not apply to our DIY package).

If adoption has been on your heart, and you aren't sure where to begin, I would love to chat with you more! For a glimpse of other family's stories and fathers who took the step to adopt, click here.

Featured Family - Meet Eddy and Libby

Meet Eddy and Libby!  One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to know the incredible families I work with.  When you journey with a family through the roller coaster of adoption, you can't help but feel a deep connection with them.  This family is the sweetest and just received the wonderful news that they are matched with an expectant mother who is due this Fall!

We started our adoption journey internationally and after 2 years of working through that process and waiting for a referral, we felt God was asking us to look into domestic adoption.  We have friends who adopted through Christian Adoption Consultants and after talking to them, I stumbled upon Leah's blog one night, while very frustrated with the international process.  I contacted Leah right away, and got a very quick response from her.  We felt like CAC was where God wanted us to be and we started on the paperwork right away while continuing to wait on our international adoption.  We started viewing birth mother profiles a few weeks later.  Having Leah to guide us through the process and answer questions was such a blessing!  And trust me, we had lots of questions, and she always had lots of good answers, encouragement and wisdom to offer.  Having her walk alongside of us through these last 8 months has made the process so much easier.  We just recently got matched with our baby boy who is due October 2nd!  We heard a few no's from other birth mothers, which was not easy, but we can see that God has used the wait and the disappointments to grow us and teach us so much and to lead us to our son!  We are so excited to meet our son and have him join our family.  As hard as this process has been and as excited as we are to see it come to completion, my one disappointment is we won't need to be in regular contact with Leah anymore and I'm going to miss that!  We would, without a doubt, encourage anyone who might be considering adoption to give Leah a call, or send her an email....you won't regret it!

Let's rally around this beautiful family and help bring their baby boy home!  If you are local to them they are hosting mini photography sessions to help raise their remaining funds to make their adoption possible (details below).  Or, if you aren't local, you can also give a tax deductible donation through: Adopt Together  Follow their adoption journey at His Glory Our Joy

An Adoption Story: Congratulations, Robyn!

Today I am excited to share a beautiful adoption story with you!

Robyn and I began chatting about whether working with Christian Adoption Consultants would be a good fit for her back in the fall.  After working with another agency for two years and never presenting to a situation, she began looking into other options.

Less than two months after signing up with CAC, Robyn presented and was matched with the FIRST situation she presenting to!  Here is what she emailed me the day she found out she was matched:

I think this was the very first person who I showed my profile to.  Isn't that amazing?!  It seems so....unlikely!  It took over two years to get viewed, and then, bam!

God’s timing is beautiful and Robyn’s story is such an encouragement to all of those we are single and questioning whether adoption is a possibility for them.

What a joy it was to share in Robyn’s excitement when she traveled to visit with her son’s birth mother and attend an ultrasound with her.

Kai Orion was eager to make his debut and came a few weeks early.  Robyn later shared that she chose his name because:

Kai means ocean and rejoice, Orion for the constellation...because he is loved from the depths of the oceans to the heights of the heavens.

During their stay in the NICU, I remember reading this email from Robyn with eyes filled with tears:

I was just thinking about how it would have been worth the wait to just hold Kai for five minutes.  But to get him for a whole lifetime? I don't even know the words for that feeling...overwhelmed with love is the closest I can get.  He is magnificent!

Adoption is beautiful and there is always purpose in the wait!  Congratulations, Robyn!
